"Booked in advance and used twice. Couldn't be simpler really - very well designed system. You enter your booking code on the screen and the locker number allocated to you is displayed on the screen. The lockers are clearly numbered and the door of the locker matching the screen number will pop open ready for you to use. Within the time booked you can open and close the locker as many times as you like - just use the screen to re-key in your code to open it. Don't accidentally close the locker with your locker code details inside!!! If you don't need all your remaining time you can opt to close the locker and finish your period - I assume this is to free up the locker for someone else to use. Booking ahead seems like a good idea - keying in a code is much simpler and quicker than hoping there is a free locker available and paying for time . It also leaves no doubt whether or not a locker will be available when needed. We found the locker room varied greatly in terms of how busy it was. Sometimes it was virtually empty but other times it was very busy. The busy times were largely due to people trying to find a luggage storage locker on an ad-hoc basis and then pay with cards etc. The system was very simple to book and use, reasonably priced as well, so will definitely use again."

I don't know how much the cost compares with other luggage storage facilities in the City as this is the first time we have used this type of storage (always been at a hotel). We paid 15 Euro for one day as had an evening flight and needed more than 6 hours storage. You can pay by the hour if only required for a short period of time. Would definitely use again. Once you enter the code, a locker will be assigned to you and you can use it for your luggage. The locker was even a bit bigger than I expected. "Wasn't sure what to expect but the location was really easy to find and locker easy to use. There is a terminal screen at the far end of the small shop with lockers along the walls. You enter the email confirmation code which opens up a locker in the size ordered. Fit a standard carry-on bag with wheels plus a filled backpack in the standard size locker with room to spare. The location is behind Madrid Atocha station so a bit of a walk since most exits are from the other side of the station. But the location is easily accessible and seems safe. There is even a nice tavern, Sidreria La Posada, on the same street corner. We got a good late lunch there before getting our bags to catch an afternoon train to Barcelona.On return, we just entered the same confirmation code to open the locker. Really easy to use!"

"The store was easy to find and easy to reserve online. My only wish is that there was a separate online-only keypad. When I arrived, the line was out the door. People were fumbling to order at the kiosk while I had to wait 20 minutes for my 10 second process of simply keying in my code and opening the lockers. There could also be a couple of improvements to the application. The lockers were all full and people were just standing around waiting. It would be helpful if they could see what rentals were due to expire so they could determine if it was worth waiting around for. Also, I paid for 3 hours but 30 minutes in I learned that I could check into my apartment. I would be great to be able to get somewhat of a refund for checking out early - it would have helped me out and it definitely made the customer waiting without a reservation happy - they immediately rented my lockers."
