"It was a short, easy walk from Milan Central Train Station. When I got to the address the door to enter wouldn't open so I figured it was out-of-business. While I was on my phone searching for an alternative someone came and went in another door to the right of the ones I tried. It would have been nice to have an arrow on the door that didn't open pointing to the one that did. Simple error on my part, but there are many weary travelers that may make the same mistake and give up. The process to choose and pay was clear and when you pay the locker pops open then you store your bags. You are then emailed a code to enter when you return, which opens the locker again. There is a choice of two options, in Italian, when you enter the code. You want the one on the right, which immediately opens your locker. Someone familiar with the system told me which one to press. I had a carry-on suitcase and a carry-on duffle/Sportif bag that was stuffed so I chose a Standard-sized locker which is supposed to hold two bags. I did have to really push on the flexible bag to close the door, so if you have two larger carry-ons, I'd suggest the larger size locker. I'd use this option again if the station didn't have storage. I did see one in the train station later, but don't know if bags are under surveillance. I liked the fact that my bags were actually locked up not out in the open."

"The luggage storage in Milan really helped me out! I had a connection in Milan and I wanted to go to the city center without my belongings. So, I rented a standard locker for 3 hours. If you came back earlier then you can either terminate the reservation (as I did) or just open the locker to put something in/take from there and resume the reservation. This is very convenient. Just for your information: to the left of the entrance there is an open locker that can help you determine what locker (standard or maxi) you need."

"I was so happy to have found this while stopping in Milan. The location was only a little more than two minutes from the station but not far at all. It was easy to follow the instructions once we got started. My only complaints are the large box didn't seem as large as it said. I believe it said it could fit four bags, but we were only able to fit two carry on suitcases and a tote. Also, the locker assigned to us was located at a strange angle that made it very difficult to open and it locked before we could open it. So we had to enter our code to access the locker and then use real force to open it. Otherwise, it made it very easy and stress free to explore Milan for a few hours."

"Actual service at Milano Centrale worked very smoothly once I figured out a few key details which should be better communicated. Your service is not at all friendly towards people without a phone / internet connection, which is the case for many travellers (ie: your clientele!!!). 1. Extremely poor signage from train station to lockers. Post more signs with arrows and distances ! Not everyone has GPS ! 2. Locker unlock code is sent by email. Without a data plan and a smartphone, what does one do? I called the help line and the agent told me he could communicate my code to me, but this information was not posted anywhere, so had I not spoken English or Italian it would have been impossible for me to express my problem. This solution also requires the client to be alone in the store for the sake of code privacy, which is of course not always the case. Print the locker code on the receipt ! It’s simple and works for everyone ! 3. Lockers are too far from the station. By the time I found them (tricky due to terrible directional signage) , I wondered if it was even worthwhile to store them for an hour (I wanted to take a walk) as the lockers were so far out of my way. Rent a location in the station !!!"

You can book the locker using the machine inside the store and do not need wifi/internet but need to get the email with the code to open it. I was not able to get my email but I spoke with them through a call system with their machine in the store and they opened the locker. Maybe they could print the code on a receipt when you pay for it in the store?"

"STOW YOUR BAGS was very convenient and easy to use. Caution: After looking at the measurements provided on line and measuring our biggest bag (19” x 30”), we thought our biggest bag would fit horizontally inside the biggest space. Our plan was to put other bags on top of the largest one. Unfortunately, it was maybe 1/2 “ wider and could not fit horizontally; so, we needed 2 storage units. However, we were in luck and very happy that 2 units were available! I’m rating it with a 4 star rating because although the lockers are secure and it is completely self automated; the front door locks at 11:00 pm (23:00). The restaurants had wait times and the service is relaxed in Italy. We ended our meal at 10:30 and could not stay to enjoy a little night life before retrieving our bags, because STOW YOUR BAGS was closing. A later closing time would be much nicer. We came into Milan by train. We did not have time to leave our bags at our hotel and still make it to our tour departure location on time; so, STOW YOUR BAGS was the perfect solution! Very close to the train station and very simple to figure out how to use! We would not have been able to enjoy a tour, of this facility was not available. Thank you for providing this much needed service!"

"The large locker was big enough for two large suitcases, l squeezed in a laptop & took some items out of my back pack, so it wasn’t so fat & put the back pack in the front. height 67cm, width 44 cm estimate only ( this is the average size case most people use) it’s not the larger case. I read a few reviews about the train station bag storage point & was a bit scared to use it. This was very secure & easy to use. I booked it online & recd a confirmation zone with minutes. "About three blocks from the train station (5-10 min walk), easy to find and easy to use. No attendant. Enter the front door, punch in your code on the screen, your locker pops open for you to fill. We fit two carry-on rolling bags and one backpack and could have maybe fit one more rolling bag or two more backpacks. You can open it and retrieve items before your time is up w/o ending your reservation (up to 30 mins before your reservation ends). Cheaper than train station Left Luggage."

"Generally, it's a very useful service, especially in Milan, where bag storages are rare. There are, however, some problems that could be solved: - you cannot see the size of the box before you pay for it. We wanted to check whether our bags fit or not before we pay, but we could not. Maybe you should put a "measurement box" in the room, similar to those used by discounter airlines. Users may try to fit their bags before payment. - it's strange that the place is closed overnight. Being 100% automatic, it must work 24/7. At night there might be a code lock, which can be opened with the user's box code. - it's not always easy to know in advance, whether you need to store bags for 3 hours or for 5. The user might pay for a certain amount of time, and if he comes later, he must just pay for the extra hours, and not pay the fine. It's understood that in this case it would be harder for the management to accept advance booking requests, but the extra hours payment might be, for example, higher than the basic fee. That would force users to be more accurate."

My wife and I rented a locker each at the Milan Central branch for 5 days to store our huge luggages, before heading off with a backpack to travel around Venice and Florence.
